11:00 - Mismo Gymnastics
Mismo Gymnastics was founded on a dream by Kelley Durbin, a former Collegiate gymnast and
coach. This is a demonstration organized specifically for the Women's Fair. Come and feel the
energy of this talented team of young gymnasts as they showcase their skill, grace and poise.
11:30 - Angie Breidenbach - Mrs. Missoula 2008
Angie, currently Mrs. Missoula 2008, will be competing for Mrs. Montana
America 2008 in July. She has been published in magazines/ezines with
devotionals and articles. In addition to her writing, Angie is a liturgist and
soloist with her church, Past-President of Toastmaster club and assistant
coach for local girls in synchronized swimming. She received 1st Place in the
Touched by Love Contest with her second work, "What She Didn't Know"
12:30 - Curtain Up!
Ranging in age from 6-18, the current 44 members are required to sing, act, and
be proficient in ballet, tap, and jazz. They are all honor roll students, they value
their families, each other, and themselves, and they know the meaning of hard
work and discipline. Directed by Lisa Deer and Eden Atwood, the company has
traveled to many places to perform including New York City . The Curtain Up!
Performing Arts Company is truly a unique group of talented kids that have only
touched upon their opportunities.
1:30 - StreetSmarts Self-Defense
StreetSmarts Self-Defense is much more than just another traditional martial art.
Watch a demonstration of this modern, reality based method of self-defense that
teaches women to use practical and effective movements of the human body.
Todd Taylor from Summit Martial Arts will demonstrate techniques that are basic,
yet realistic, and are taught in a way that enables women to recall what they have
learned should they find themselves in a stressful situation. Don't miss your
opportunity for hands-on learning in the Todd's workshop.
You've seen them at all the Griz games, and now you can
see them up close and personal at the 2008 Women's Fair!
The UM Dance Team performs at all home football games,
Griz and Lady Griz home basketball games and some
volleyball home games with their unique spirit and Jazz and
Hip Hop dance styles.
2:30 - University of Montana Dance Team
3:30 - Headwaters Dance Company
Headwaters Dance Company, a professional, modern dance company showcases smart,
theatrically oriented, contemporary works, created by choreographers from all over the
country. Reflecting its location near the source springs of North America, Headwaters
imports high-caliber, contemporary dance from the coasts to inland regions, and exports
the best contemporary work of the Northern Rockies to the coasts and beyond.
4:30 - University of Montana Women’s Chorus
The University of Montana Women’s Chorus consists of approximately 25-
35 women who have achieved membership from a vocal audition. The
ensemble is directed by Dr. David Cody. The Women’s Chorus performs
a varied repertoire of sacred and secular choral classics and also more
contemporary works from many styles, languages, and cultures.   The
Women’s Chorus has toured on occasion –  they were the featured
ensemble for the Idaho State University Women’s Choir Festival
in 2003 and 2004.
